TEACHER APPRECIATION HAS NEVER BEEN BETTER!

CDL is offering it`s teachers and staff a great opportunity to benefit from Sophrology techniques with this course being offered on campus. Being a teacher or working in a school setting is pressure packed with multiple stakeholders: parents, department heads, principles, the larger organization and most of all, the students. Building the relaxation and awareness synapses in the brain helps people manage the expectations of their stakeholders.

We spend a lot of time at the gym or in Yoga classes working on our physcial self. Think of Sophrology as the "gym for the mind".

Our mind is the most powerful part of our body as it controls our thoughts and our subsequent actions and reactions in every encounter we have. So why not join this gym class for the mind to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions and discover that extra mental space that allows you to choose your actions, versus reacting to life`s challenges.

Learn how to relax, slow your mind down, manage the constant chatter in of the mind, manage your waking hours in the middle of the night, respond to life`s pressures rather than react to them and develop a Resilient-Growth-Bold Mindset

This activity is based on the Paws.b Mindfulness program as taught by the UK Mindfulness In Schools Organization. Mindfluness is a meditative practice that is non-secular but with origins from Buddhist traditions. 

Mindfulness promotes well-being. It offers knowledge and skills applicable to the child’s life:
  • It can be individually tailored to suit each child
  • It extends the thinking skills learning It helps children understand themselves better
  • It helps them to be resilient and resourceful when life is challenging

Skills and understanding taught can be available throughout their school life and beyond. The feedback from children who have taken part in Paws.b is very positive. The children report enjoying the lessons and finding the learning supports them in a broad range of situations from being able to concentrate and focus more easily in school to helping them feel calmer in exams and competitions. Many have described sharing the learning with other family members and finding it helps them with their relationships with family and friends.

Positively shift your way of being!

Join Annette for this 4 week course based in Sophrology, Principles of Louise Hay, Mindfulness and the Four Agreements. Each two hour session will give you an opportunity to learn easy to implement exercises and techniques to help you set up positive changes in your life, or to make you even happier and more grounded than you already are.


Focus is on learning how to:
  • increase concentration
  • stay in the present
  • let go of the chatter in the mind
  • let go of the worry about tomorrow, so that you can enjoy today
  • and the worry about tomorrow so that you can enjoy today.
Course will also cover topics such as the use of high energy words, power of self-talk in creating your future and balancing your bodies energy levels. Notes and recordings will be provided to all participants. Course start date is Wedensday, October 5th. The course will begin when 4 participants have registered. No classes during school holidays.
